These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the PastQuest mobile application and this website. By using PastQuest, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service
PastQuest is a French-learning application focused on past tenses, including lessons, conjugation practice, tense-choice exercises, review, progress information, and a grammar library. Features may change as the app develops.
2. Eligibility and personal use
You may use PastQuest for your own personal, non-commercial learning. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the app with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian where required.
3. Free access and no advertising
PastQuest is currently offered for free and without advertising. We may change pricing or introduce optional paid features in the future. If we do, we will present the applicable terms before charging you.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt to access systems or data that are not intended for you, reverse engineer the service except where applicable law permits it, or use the content to harm, mislead, or infringe the rights of others.
5. Content and intellectual property
PastQuest, including its name, visual identity, app icon, software, lessons, examples, illustrations, and other original content, belongs to PastQuest or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and its content for your own learning. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or create a competing product from PastQuest content without permission.
6. Educational information
PastQuest is an educational aid. Language explanations and examples are provided for learning purposes and may not cover every regional or contextual variation. PastQuest does not provide legal, medical, financial, immigration, or other professional advice.
7. Availability and updates
We aim to keep PastQuest useful and available, but we do not promise that the app or website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device. We may update, pause, or discontinue parts of the service when reasonably necessary.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PastQuest is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
