Effective date: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PastQuest (“PastQuest”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the PastQuest mobile application and this website.
Short version: PastQuest is currently free, contains no ads, does not require an account, and is designed to keep learning progress and preferences on your device.
1. Information we collect
PastQuest does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, password, payment information, or profile information inside the app.
The app may store the following information locally on your device:
- lesson completion and learning progress;
- review scheduling and practice history;
- your selected interface language and other app preferences;
- limited local flags used to manage onboarding and optional review prompts.
This local information is used to provide the learning experience and is not transmitted to PastQuest by the app.
2. How we use information
We use locally stored information only to remember where you are in the learning path, personalize review timing, display progress, and keep your preferences between sessions.
If you contact us, we may use the information you include in your message—such as your email address—to respond to your request and provide support. We do not use support messages for advertising.
3. Advertising, analytics, and tracking
PastQuest is currently provided without advertising. We do not sell personal information, and the app does not include an advertising SDK or a third-party analytics SDK.
This website may use standard, privacy-respecting technical logs supplied by its hosting provider to keep the site secure and available. We do not use those logs to build advertising profiles.
4. App stores and system services
If you download PastQuest from the Apple App Store or Google Play, those platforms process information under their own privacy policies. If PastQuest presents an optional request to review the app, the request is handled through the operating system’s review service and your choice is yours.
5. Sharing and retention
We do not share locally stored learning progress with third parties because it remains on your device. You can remove it by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app, subject to your device’s backup settings.
Information you voluntarily send to support is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request, maintain support records, or meet legal obligations.
6. Children’s privacy
PastQuest is a general educational app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
7. Your choices
You can choose not to contact us, decline an optional review prompt, or remove locally stored app information from your device. You may also contact us with questions about this policy.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, website, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the latest version took effect.
